Tyler's First Birthday Party

So I am now the father of two children over the age of one. As I posted earlier that Ty is now one. We gave him a birthday party which he enjoyed. First the cousins were over and had a fun time playing in the water in their diapers. Oh to be one.

Tyler likes balls, in fact that is his first real word.

Present time. Tyler was not interested at all in the opening of presents. He was excited once they were opened and he could play with it. Give him a year or two.

Ty loved this toy during the opening, we had to hide it so he would pay attention to the other toys.

Tyler got a new car. He loved it.

Tyler got a cupcake with an oversized one that didn't want to be on such an insignificant cake.

We haven't yet taught Tyler about fire and hot well enough yet evidently. All Ty wanted to do was grab that candle.

We were hopefully that Ty could blow the candle out. He used to blow and occasionally accidentally whistle. Well he didn't.

I thought this look said, "Give me that cake already."

He ate the cupcake way faster than Kate.

Bowling Tyler

The other day Jen handed me Tyler while I was holding this bowl. I just held the bowl out and had her put him in it. We thought it was cute, Ty didn't agree.

Getting Stuck

Jen found Ty stuck the other day. He got in but could not get out from between the toilet and the tub. Even stuck he wants to grab the camera.

Tyler is One

Tyler is now 1. He is our big, little boy. When your child is one, there is not an expectation on their part and so you don't have to do a lot. We made some pancakes and put some raspberry syrup I made. He loved it. A little too much.

So he needed a bath.

Something about Ty is that he loves the water, bath or pool.

Kate needed a bath afterwards and talked about Ty's birthday. It's a little long so view at your own peril.
