Now anyone who knows me knows that I am not a typical guy. I am not a big sports fan. I don't mind a game here or there (like a BYU or Angels game) but I do it more for the social aspect of the whole thing. I know its almost as embarrassing to hear a guy admit his lack of enthusiasm for sports as it would be if he was wailing in public. But it is true. BUT I do like a good play , or a good game if one can be found. Well our friend, Alden Lawrence (as proof of friendship, he and his wife, Emily's, blog are with the Friends Blogs on the right) had a great post with this video. This is an amazing play. It is incredible. It is two minutes long. This team has 2 seconds on the clock and 61 yards for a touchdown and the win, too far for a field goal. Well just watch how they do it.
There were 15 lateral passes there. 15! Amazing. Jen said why don't they do that more often. I think that it is very difficult and wastes a lot of precious time when the clock is normally running. I imagine that they practiced that one a lot though. Wow.

Trend Setter
Katelynn is not only famous but is setting the trends of the toddler world. Our own little toddler world, that is. Remember not too long ago when Katelynn was seen on the Evans blog with Kennedy's walker. Well Kennedy is now doing what Katelynn did, without the Kennedy in the walker of course.
This was Katelynn and Kennedy on the 13th.
And here is Kennedy now.

Katelynn is famous!
Katelynn is appearing in other blogs! Well one other blog. One other blog not counting my dad's, in which she appears regularly. But that is a start to the big time, right?
Seriously though you need to see the video on the post. It is funny. We need to ask Summer for the files. I thought she got a good one of Katelynn riding the walker.

Vote for Dan!
Here we go! Dan made this video last week and it is available to vote on. Take a couple minutes to vote for Dan's video. It is way better than any other that I have seen, although I have only seen a couple. It is clever, and not dumb like the other ones I have seen. So go to the site below. You need an apple account. If you don't have one, and you don't buy music on iTunes (that is an apple account) and you haven't bought any apple products from apples site, then you can sign up for an account. I would, and do, use a junk email address like from hotmail in case they send you junk. They haven't sent me any yet so I don't know if you need to worry about it. Then vote, 4 stars is the best and what I think it deserves. Only the top 25 get to go on to be view by professionals and win. Just do it.

Adventures in Denver!
Over this last weekend we all went to Denver. I was invited to Grant Thornton's Denver office to interview for an internship this next summer. Accounting firms are serious about their internships and treat them identical to a job interview. Generally, you receive a job offer at the end of the internship, unless you really screw it up. Grant Thornton was kind enough to fly Jen and Katelynn out as well. Katelynn watched as we took off and gave the funniest concerned face as the ground began to drop away.
The flight is currently listed as Katelynn's worst flight. The last half hour she just wanted to go.
No, we didn't go deep sea diving. We were in Denver, but they do have an aquarium. I really liked it. Katelynn kinda liked it. The fish were a little boring.
But the otters were fun. Katelynn liked to watch them but was a little scared when they were close to the glass.
We went in a bubble that Katelynn wanted out of as soon as we got in it. Here she is begging for mommy.
So what is the last thing you would expect at an aquarium. Did you say a tiger? Well, neither did we. But they had four here. Only one was active though.
Scary shot. Funny thing. Katelynn was never scared of the tiger. Some of the fish scared her, the otters scared her, but the tiger didn't scare her. Interesting.
I was letting Katelynn stand on this stand to see these blue fish and she sat down like this. I tried to stand her up and she just sat down like this again. This was the fourth or fifth time she sat down like this.
The next day we went to the Children's Museum. There was a firefighter exhibit. I thought is was kinda cool, Katelynn was a little shy and didn't have much fun.
They had a restaurant and grocery store exhibit. Katelynn LOVED this one. Her cart is full of baby things. We got bored after a while and needed to peel her away from the exhibit.

The area that Katelynn had the most fun in this area for little kids. This area that Katelynn is in is for infants only but there were none there so Katelynn enjoyed.
We went down to Castlerock to my Aunt Stephanie's house where we stayed Saturday night. She took us down to the Garden of the Gods. This is the Kissing Camels.
Katelynn really liked my cousin, Sophie, and Sophie liked Katelynn. They held each others hand for a good portion of the hike.

I didn't get a picture of Stephanie. We meant to get their family picture before we left but forgot so this is all I got of Stephanie. Gary and Haley went to Provo for a BYU game.
This is Balancing Rock. I think they cemented that thing in. Just imagine when that thing falls. Death would come quickly I would think. Now note the nice clear weather. It was warm. Just note that for a second.

Of course she liked the balls.

So we have learned from the Museum that Katelynn likes to shop for food and cook food. Hmmm.
I loved Katelynn's facial expression when this girl through a tantrum, like what is going on.

I thought I would get a picture of Tyler since most are of the girls. He was hiking on his own side trail.
Aren't they cute.

Now compare with the next morning as we were driving away from Stephanie's house on Sunday morning. That was a beast of a drive to the airport.
That was Denver. We had a busy and tiring weekend. We are still recovering. I really hope I get that internship. I will be letting you all know as soon as I get it, don't worry.
Look-alike Bandwagon
Jen and I decided to copy the Hess' and the Christensens and put a Look-Alike Meter as a post. Everyone always says that Katelynn looks like me but I think that she is a composite of us both. The Meter says she looks like Jen. Lets compromise and say she looks like both.

Dan's Insomnia Entry - "Till Death Do Us Part"
So Apple had a film festival in called "Insomnia" that is for high school and college students. Apple released a list of items, of which 3 needed to be in the film. It had to be original and made in 24 hours, hence it being called "Insomnia." There is a public voting that will open on Friday. Dan did it with a bunch of his friends and it is pretty funny. Anyways, on Friday everyone vote for Dan!

Dan the Man
Dan came over for dinner the other night. He had to take his "Air Jordans" off and put them on top of our TV so that Katelynn would not get to them. I thought it was funny because Katelynn isn't a dog that chews shoes. She would break them if they were glass but Dan, you ain't no Cinderella.

Now, here is the kicker. After he took off his shoes, he ran outside to play with Katelynn. The second he stepped outside, he ran back in to take his socks off. Not because he was afraid of getting his socks dirty or thinking of his mom and obeying her, but because his dirty socks would touch his "Air Jordans."
