California Fun, Part 1

The day after the wedding Jen, Kate, and Ty flew with Dave and Nichole down to California while I flew to Utah. The original plan was for me to study and take part of the CPA Exam but that didn't work out and I had a week before class started for me so I went down to California. Changing the plane ticket was way too much so after I got off the plane, I got in the car and drove down to California.

Kate was quite the expert in the airplane's safety procedures.

In California Kate and Ty played in the little pool while I was there. We bought Kate some goggles for the swimming pools. She looks pretty good in it, don't you think?

Tyler enjoyed the pool. He didn't like sitting in the pool as much though.

My parents took us up to Irvine Park to eat lunch. It was a beautiful day.

Cool Ty.

We went on the little train in the park. Kate kept giving a goofy smile.

I think she had fun.

I then drove back up to Utah and started school while EVERYONE else in Jen's family went to Palm Springs. Jen is coming home tonight and I can't wait. It has been two weeks without my family. Jen has the camera so the rest of the her trip will be on here when we get a chance.

Dan and Casi's Wedding Reception

After naps Ty was in a funny mood. He kept making these faces that we all thought were so funny. I tried to catch one of the faces but this is as close as I got, not it really. If you look real close you can see his new tooth. Fun stuff those teeth.

The kids had a lot of fun at the reception.

Jen holding our child for us. Ty was tired but was very good.

I loved Ty's face in this one.

After the line, Dan and Casi had their first dance.

After the Bride and Groom's dance, there was a dance party.

We had to get the two flower girls with the Bride.

Here are the girls.

The new couple were nice to each other while feeding each other the cake.

Here is a great picture of Collin.

At one point I think Ty was too tired to care what we did to him. I put his feet up to help him chill out.

He grabbed a rose petal from the table and had it in his mouth. He wasn't happy with us restraining him and fishing the petal parts out of his mouth.

Don't I have the most beautiful wife? The answer is yes, a loud and enthusiastic yes.

Just Married, Dan and Casi

After Dan and Casi's wedding the weather let a slight drizzle fall on us. Luckily the temple has a little overhang we could all hide under. While we waited for Dan and Casi to come out we got a few family pictures. Here are the girls, well minus Casi.

Mike and Jen. I think that the weekend was that much better because Jen helped hold Ty and watched Kate for us. Thanks Jen.

Ethan.

Kate had several cute pictures.

When Dan and Casi came out, Casi was beautiful.

Always need a good newlywed kiss outside the temple doors.

Kate wanted to congratulate Dan.

Tyler was a little tired at this point. His naps were completely disrupted.

With the rain, they went back inside to an atrium and tried to take a picture of the whole party. There were way too many people to do that but they took a few smaller pictures.

Then it had stopped raining so we went outside to take the whole group picture. After that everything got a little busy. We took the picture and then kids got rushed home to nap. Then I rushed back to take the groomsmen pictures. We went back inside and to grab our suits and as I reached the door the rain poured out of the heavens. People running in from the parking lot were drenched and we were all in our tuxes that needed to be dry in a couple hours. Luckily, Jen Barnes we in one of the cars when it started and came and picked us up at the temple door. Thanks Jen. Congrats Dan and Casi.

Dan and Casi's Pre-Wedding Celebrations

It has been a while with finals, then Dan and Casi's wedding and then down to California got a little busy. When we got to Portland for Dan and Casi's wedding, Jen met up with her old roommate Melanie, and her daughter Grace. It was great to see them.

That night we went to the rehearsal dinner.

The morning of the wedding I got a few pictures. I badgered Kate and Anna for a while to get their picture. They were against having a picture taken and then all of a sudden they couldn't wait to have their picture taken.

Dan was calm before he had to take off for the temple.

Dan and Casi as they are leaving to the temple. Their last picture together not married.
