Photo (Ph)un

We thought we would share some of our pictures we have taken lately. It was really nice a couple of days last week and Jen and Katelynn came and had a picnic with me between work and class (sorry no pictures of that). The next day Jen and Katelynn went to the park with Jen's old roommate, Mel, and played on the swings. Katelynn has never played on the swings before so this was her first time.

She really didn't like them all that well.

In fact, she almost looks like she is being tortured. Rest assured, we do not torture our child.

Jen took her to the slides which she seemed to enjoy a little better.

Here is Katelynn eating. She isn't messy enough yet though.

Remember that post about hiding. Well here is a picture of Katelynn scooting/sliding and not very happy. Again, we do not torture our child.

Katelynn was in a good mood, we had the camera out, and that means that we took a ton of pictures. Here is just a few.

Had to get her cute mom in there.

She refused to pose for a picture with her daddy right after a bunch with her mom. She already doesn't want to be seen with me. Bad sign I think.

Jen loves this picture. She said, "Look at those eyes!" I think they look just like Jen's, Beautiful.

Jen then thought she would look cute in a hat. Katelynn would have none of that. She hates hats and things on her head. That coat at the park in the beginning of this post has that hood, and Katelynn hates the hood. She ain't no hat person, that for sure. And we do not, in any way, torture our child.

I got lucky and got this picture right before she started to pull it off. It's a keeper.

Katelynn got back at mommy and put the hat on her. Well, not really, Jen put it on her own head, but Katelynn couldn't wait to take it of mommy's head.

I call this picture "Wussup"

Katelynn is a cuddler. She loves to cuddle and will almost always cuddle up to us when she starts getting tired. It is great.

Well, that's all folks. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Hiding out

Today, as I was washing the dishes, Katelynn got onto the wood floor and pushed herself under the chair. She seemed pretty happy under there. It was cute. She still is not doing much moving on her own but I am trying to keep her on the floor more so she can learn to crawl, scoot, or anything. It seems like she was pretty lucky that she didn't hurt herself in her adventures.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We sure did!

Katelynn and I spent a bit of the day cutting out hearts to show Nathan our love for him.

Nathan was so nice and made the soup I had planned to make for him so I could feed Katelynn her dinner. We eat a delicious cheesy potato soup. It was so good.

Now, of course, we have some more cute pictures of cute little Katelynn.

Here is the famous finger-sucking pose. Katelynn can almost never put her fingers in her mouth without the other hand. It is so funny to watch her get ready to suck her fingers. She pulls both her arms in a dramatic motion to put them together to suck her two little fingers. (As you can see, she had been eating some breakfast.)

This is her really cute coat that everyone comments on. See the cute kitty on the hood?

California, Here we Come

A week ago Tuesday Katelynn and I set out on another plane adventure all by ourselves. Nathan watched us fly far away- here is the route we took.

We went back to sunny California. I now truly know why it is called sunny California. As I sit here bundled in my bed, trying to keep warm in Utah, I can think back to Monday when I was in California washing the car in shorts and a t-shirt.

Here is Katelynn and her Papa. This was the night we got there. Luckily, this trip Katelynn warmed up to everyone much quicker than she did at Christmas time.

On our fun week home we didn't take too many pictures. I did manage to bring my camera to Ikea though. I figured all my other friends were blogging about Ikea so I'd better too!

Katelynn was very excited for the adventure.

We couldn't get a picture with Annalise and Katelynn looking so I just picked this one because Katelynn looked cute.

You can see here during our week at home Katelynn decided to try to move a lot more. It is fun but I think she is getting impatient with learning to move. She has now enjoys standing all the time. I'm still working to get her crawling but I think Nathan loves this new standing obsession.

When we were gone we did a lot of video chatting with Nathan. Katelynn sure has become a computer expert. She loves the computer.

Here is the real reason we went home. Katelynn had never met her uncle Dan. We had to take a trip to see him. Katelynn loved playing with Dan.

Katelynn can bite pretty hard.

She really was enjoying chewing on Dan's fingers. I don't know if Dan enjoyed it too much.

We did a lot of shopping when we were home. Ethan and Annalise managed to convince Nichole to buy them sunglasses for Palm Spring in May. Ethan wore his sunglasses even when we were inside he was so excited. He would take off his hat and glasses and say "Guys, it's just me." He is cute!

Once again, Nathan watched in anticipation for our arrival.

Here is Katelynn back home safe with her daddy! She loves her dad so much.

Thanks mom and dad for bringing us home to see Dan. It was so nice. We love you Dan!
