Josh is Married!!!

Sorry girls, Josh is now officially taken and married. The blessed event happened yesterday and was a wonderful warm and sunny day. Hayley and Josh love Hawaii as they go to school there and will probably live there as long as they can. Therefore, the theme of the wedding was Hawaii in Utah. I would like to note that the day before, Hayley received her endowments in the Bountiful temple and Elder Ballard was in the session. Pretty cool. Jen's friend, Ang, had her husbands brother getting married at the exact same time as Josh and Hayley and he was marrying President Hinckley's granddaughter. So President Hinckley sealed them and was near by. Also cool. Anyway, Josh and Hayley's wedding was cool and my grandpa was able to seal them. He has sealed every one of his grandkids that were married after he became a sealer. I think that is so fun.

Here we are. We had to try to stay out of the sun as much as we could so we wouldn't burn.

Look at the couple!

Grandma Nancy.

I thought this was a good picture. I was lucky and got Josh to look at me, although he was squinting so you can't even tell.

Awww, how cute.

What would a blog without Katelynn pictures? We tried to keep that hat on as much as possible but she would have it. She hated that hat and took it off the second it touched her head, most of the time.

Look at this beautiful lady.

Lizzy Bell, who is on a mission at Temple Square was able to attend to sealing and hung out a little afterwards. It was nice to see her. She has 7 or 8 months left I think and sounds like she is having a lot of fun.

I thought this was a great picture of Lyss as she posed for Ben.

Ben forgot his sandals and camera so he took phone camera pictures. I guess I was too boring to look at when he was taking a picture of me.

My Grandpa, my aunt Cheryl, my mom, and my uncle Craig.

I thought this was the cutest picture with Katelynn hugging my grandpa. She does that now and gives you a big bear hug.

It looks as though Elder Nelson had a relation being married too. Jarrod and Lyss had a picture with him that is posted on my dad's blog. Jen shook his hand. This was as close as I was able to get, the closest I have ever been to an apostle. I felt pretty special.

There were many people that helped us out that day. Katelynn is getting less patient with being held and likes to crawl or walk around. Ben and Jarrod walked her around a lot, Sister Christensen walked around the temple, and many other people helped us out a lot. We are so thankful for everyone.

Both Jen and I were a little sick and so we didn't take many other pictures the rest of the day. For a more thorough coverage of the day, the Wilbur Family blog has a good posting of the day. Here, Josh and Hayley cut the cake and fed each other. They were very civil and didn't get it everywhere. There were a lot of people that were friends of my parents ages ago that were at the reception so that was cool. Anyway, it was a good day.

Screaming Children

This video does not show what a crazy drive home we had from Park City!! I get car sick on windy roads very easily. Because the kids had been crying, I was moving around a lot and trying to help calm them down. It did not help calm them down and it only made me feel very sick. Just as we got out of the canyon Angela's little boy threw up. The kids were happy when we got them out of their car seats to clean up the mess. But immediately went back to screaming when we took off again to get home! Oh, what fun drives can be with children!

We did it!

Lately I've been bugging Nathan to help me cut Katelynn's hair. The top of her hair has been so long and starting to look silly. He has been very recluctant saying that it is going to be so hard. U kept reminding him that it will never get easier!! So after her bath todaywe did it. Nathan actually cut it while I distracted Katelynn. It woked out pretty well. After the cut Nathan admited that her hair does look a lot better. What do you think?

Before (We forgot to take a real 'before' picture so I've found some picture where you can see the length of her hair.):

After:

Here she is busy in the kitchen!

Up and down

Katelynn is pulling herself up on everything now. Just in the past week or two she walks along everything. Most recently as she is standing she lets go and balances all on her own. She thinks she is really brave and a big girl when she does this. Nathan and I are enjoying life with Katelynn. Katelynn and I are very excited for Nathan to be out of school for the summer. Unfortunately, he will be at work everyday all day, but when he comes home he is all ours!! We can't wait to go swimming everyday and play in the nice, big pool. We just have to wait for the weather to get warmer.

Fun with Daddy

Despite the fact the Nathan tells me Katelynn cried the whole two hours I was gone Tuesday night, she still does love her daddy!

Nathan loves to throw Katelynn, even though I disgree with it 100 percent. Prior to this picture he had been throwing her and she was giggling tons. We tried to catch it on camera but failed. So to make up for that Nathan wanted to to a hanging upside down picture! Fun fun!

Conference Weekend

Dan, on the spur of the moment (and with a little spurring from Jen), came up to visit us last Monday. He didn't leave till like 8:30 PM so he stayed at a hotel that night and came the rest of the way on Tuesday. We have seen him only a little bit as he sleeps all morning, out all night, with only a brief time in between. Today we have seen him a little bit more and it has been fun. Dan has issues medically and went to a witch doctor because no one else has been able to help him. This witch doctor has him taking this nasty roots, herbs, and other unknown liquids all the time. He has to like shake this bottle and put a drop of these liquids on his tongue and have it sit on his tongue for 10 seconds.

After the first session on Sunday, we went up to Jen's Grandma's home to eat dinner and watch the second session. On the way Dan got a phone call that was a little fun. It was a girl. Enough said.

Here is Grandma Barnes with Katelynn.

Katelynn with her cute mom.

Katelynn LOVES to walk around anytime we have the patience to hold her hands. Notice that Dan is out of these photos. Dan needed to go get some medicine from the store at this time.

Dan was able to find the store and the medicine and we were very proud of him.

Katelynn enjoyed using her new skill of crawling in a new area.

Dan took some pictures of the lovely Katelynn.

Here is one of the pictures he took.

Dan really enjoyed the second session of Conference.

During the final prayer, Dan caught this video of Katelynn. She really didn't like the feel of it and would always make a face and throw it away. It was furry but had like plastic things mixed in.

Sorry that this is sideways but Dan did it.
