Last warm day of the year!

On the 10th, we went to the park thinking that it was the last warm day for a while. There were several people there at the park thinking the same thing. Katelynn really liked the slides.

Even the big slides.

Wave hello Katelynn.

Katelynn wanted to go on the slides. She would climb up over and over again. But she had this face almost every time. We do not torture our child. She tortures herself it seems though. Should we worry?

We then needed to drag her away from the slides because we frankly were bored. So we played in the leaves.

Halloween - Trick-or-Treat

So right before we went Trick-or-Treating, Wes gave Katelynn a few pointers on scamming.

We were so excited to see what she was going to do. We just went around my grandpa's complex. Lots of Elderly people.

She was very scared, she is about to bolt in this picture. Jen had to carry her so we could get the candy.

Look at that scared face.

Jen had to hold her at every door. Jen had got Katelynn to say a little "Trick-or-Treat" earlier in the day and all she would say was "bye-bye."

Katelynn may have been terrified all night, but Jen had a good time.

Katelynn would ring the doorbell though.

The last door we were able to get Katelynn to be happy and get candy out of the basket.

It was my grandpa, though. Well, we tried.

We had a fun time. We only went to a few doors, but that was about all that Katelynn could handle.

Halloween – Pre-Trick-or-Treat

Boy, we had so much fun on Halloween. It made Katelynn happy. (Most of the time.)

The day before Halloween Jen and Katelynn went with a group of mothers and kids from the ward to the library for a costume party. It was circle/story time.

EYES! Katelynn's favorite thing to do is find your eyes and poke them out. Poor helpless Alex gets gouged.

There are my girls.

The costume came with a hat. Katelynn loved it. (Note: This will be the last you will see of the hat.)

Katelynn loved to have her dress put on so much that she forgot that she can walk and regressed to crawling.

What a little princess.

We went to a ward party the night before Halloween. It was fun seeing people in their costumes.

Watching her get the candy was fun too!

And seeing Katelynn playing with all the other costumed kids. She loves playing with Jacob, and has said his name sometimes . . . kinda.

These are the kids next door, Porter and Brooklyn. Katelynn loves playing with them and says "Porter" all the time. In fact, it was one of the first words she said. Now they have moved. Katelynn would be sad if she only knew.

Halloween Morning Jen and Katelynn went to Gardner Village with the Mother's Group. Katelynn liked the scary witch.

There was a petting zoo and penned animals at the park.

Look out Katelynn! The goat is going to pounce! (Note: The thing Katelynn loved the most was the fountain and pond that was next to this goat.)

Pigs! Wilbur's have an affinity towards swine.

Here is the video Jen got from the park.

This is a picture of all the kids from the group.

As you can see the kids would not stay still. Katelynn ran out but you can see Jacob now.
