Photo Shoot

When Katelynn turned 18 months and needed some pictures so we took Katelynn to JC Penny, but their photo shoots are always a little frustrating. The girls never seems to get very good pictures and the screen to choose the pictures from is so blurry and hard to see that it is with luck that you get any good pictures out of the deal. So we took our own pictures too. We hung a blanket and went to work. We got some silly pictures and some good pictures. Here are the silly pictures.

Katelynn is a good kisser. I tell myself that there are years before I need to worry.

Candy making

I have a bunch of posts and with finals and hectic times I am a little behind. So the next few are old but it is still they are fun (at least that is my hope). Dan and Wes came over after Katelynn was asleep with dates and we had a date night. It was fun. Wes got this idea to make candy. We took metal cookie cutters and wrapped it in foil. We then took Jolly Ranchers and put them into the cookie cutters. It all went into the oven and melted the Jolly Ranchers. It all came out and cooled and then we had these nice candies. Shown below from left to right is me, Aimee (Dan's date), Dan, Wes, and Lynnie. It was fun.


Here we are. My star is made of fire flavor. Look at Jen's, the holly leaf even has a berry in it. Fancy.

Snow day!

It snowed. Being so late in the season gives me mixed feelings. On the one hand I feel like, "It's about time." On the other hand I feel like, "Oh, no; Here comes winter." Only a Californian can understand such feelings. So here is Kate's first snow. We decided to go out and sled. So this is Katelynn's first real snow and sled experience. It was short, only one time down. But that was not only due to Katelynn not liking it but also our trouble getting back up the hill.
