Good News Moments

I know, I've been a major slacker. Nathan has been busy at work and I haven't been any good at doing the blog. So here is what we've been up to.

Nathan had his birthday. We are so grateful for Nathan- he is a wonderful husband and dad.

One day we went down and walked around the temple grounds. It was a beautiful evening.

For Thanksgiving Dan and Casi came down. We have no idea why but this house on Balboa Island has this dinosaur in the yard. We couldn't pass up a picture.

Here is our best news of all- TYLER IS WALKING!!! This is such great news because he was 15 months when he started walking. We were all ready for him to get moving. He is much happier now. He was quite a good walker from the start and now just roams around all day long carrying things from room to room.

We went to Fashion Island and got some cute picts. We love to go see this big tree. This was the first year we actually went and saw Santa. Kate actually sat on his lap even though she was pretty scared.

Poor Ty was a bit more scared than Kate.

We decorated the Christmas tree too. We did lots in the few days Dan and Casi were in town. It was busy and fun.

We also went to Disneyland with Grandma Mandy. Too bad we didn't get a good pict by the holiday decorations.. oops.

The other very good announcement: I am not carless any more!! We bought a van. We love it. Kate is so excited because the doors are automatic on both sides. I feel a bit lazy with automatic door but, oh, it is so nice!

We are just enjoying winter in California too much to get inside and work on the computer. Hopefully soon you'll get Christmas pictures.

Halloween 2009

This year Kate wanted to be Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and Tyler was a glow-in-the-dark skeleton.

Tyler loved the jack-o-lanterns. He wanted to get the candle and put things into it.

Kate with her pumpkin, and when I say her pumpkin I mean the pumpkin that she asked for a bad face and I carved it.

Kate shocked us and got a face painting at the stake Trunk-or-Treat.

Kate and Anna with their completed face paintings.

How could you pass up on a donut on a string?

Cam gave Kate and Ty glow-bracelets. Ty showed his off well.

The next day, the 31st, we tried to get good pictures with the kids costumes on.

All the pictures with Kate showing off her Ariel dress were blurry, too much showing off, but here she is.

"What a crazy sister I have!"

The night of Halloween. Ty had a fit when we moved the pumpkin away from him. I tried to distracted him with the lighter.

Anna came running at me and she jumped off the stairs and I was able to catch this cute picture.

Both sets of Grandparents came with us and Alyssa and Ben with Bela came as well. I think the kids had a blast.

Here the kids are trick-or-treating and one is at President Baron's house

Halloween Pumpkin Patch 2009

The week before Halloween, we went to Irvine Park to go to the pumpkin patch. Nichole and Dave's family came as did the grandparents. Tyler loves the animals and did not want to leave the horses.

Kate didn't want to smile for her pumpkin picture- surprise!

She did love posing in the cut out picture things...

Ty liked them too.

Tyler was totally freaked out by the pumpkins at first!

The girls loved the cotton candy.

Did you know that they like the color black?

This is Ty and me waiting while Kate was going through the Haunted House for like the 10th time. It wasn't huge and she was scared the first time through but she could have gone through for hours more if we let her.

They have the tallest swings ever at Irvine Park. This was the fist time in months that Tyler actually liked the swings. It was fun.
