Halloween 2009

This year Kate wanted to be Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and Tyler was a glow-in-the-dark skeleton.

Tyler loved the jack-o-lanterns. He wanted to get the candle and put things into it.

Kate with her pumpkin, and when I say her pumpkin I mean the pumpkin that she asked for a bad face and I carved it.

Kate shocked us and got a face painting at the stake Trunk-or-Treat.

Kate and Anna with their completed face paintings.

How could you pass up on a donut on a string?

Cam gave Kate and Ty glow-bracelets. Ty showed his off well.

The next day, the 31st, we tried to get good pictures with the kids costumes on.

All the pictures with Kate showing off her Ariel dress were blurry, too much showing off, but here she is.

"What a crazy sister I have!"

The night of Halloween. Ty had a fit when we moved the pumpkin away from him. I tried to distracted him with the lighter.

Anna came running at me and she jumped off the stairs and I was able to catch this cute picture.

Both sets of Grandparents came with us and Alyssa and Ben with Bela came as well. I think the kids had a blast.

Here the kids are trick-or-treating and one is at President Baron's house

Halloween Pumpkin Patch 2009

The week before Halloween, we went to Irvine Park to go to the pumpkin patch. Nichole and Dave's family came as did the grandparents. Tyler loves the animals and did not want to leave the horses.

Kate didn't want to smile for her pumpkin picture- surprise!

She did love posing in the cut out picture things...

Ty liked them too.

Tyler was totally freaked out by the pumpkins at first!

The girls loved the cotton candy.

Did you know that they like the color black?

This is Ty and me waiting while Kate was going through the Haunted House for like the 10th time. It wasn't huge and she was scared the first time through but she could have gone through for hours more if we let her.

They have the tallest swings ever at Irvine Park. This was the fist time in months that Tyler actually liked the swings. It was fun.

Tyler's First Birthday Party

So I am now the father of two children over the age of one. As I posted earlier that Ty is now one. We gave him a birthday party which he enjoyed. First the cousins were over and had a fun time playing in the water in their diapers. Oh to be one.

Tyler likes balls, in fact that is his first real word.

Present time. Tyler was not interested at all in the opening of presents. He was excited once they were opened and he could play with it. Give him a year or two.

Ty loved this toy during the opening, we had to hide it so he would pay attention to the other toys.

Tyler got a new car. He loved it.

Tyler got a cupcake with an oversized one that didn't want to be on such an insignificant cake.

We haven't yet taught Tyler about fire and hot well enough yet evidently. All Ty wanted to do was grab that candle.

We were hopefully that Ty could blow the candle out. He used to blow and occasionally accidentally whistle. Well he didn't.

I thought this look said, "Give me that cake already."

He ate the cupcake way faster than Kate.
