Friday night, Jen and I planned a date night and had my sister and her husband babysit. They were a real life saver. We went out to SCERA Shell to see the musical, Ragtime. We thought that it was going to be more light and fun, but was a very serious, heavy musical. We felt very unsophisticated that we didn't know how heavy it was. I mean it is a pretty well-known musical, but we had no idea. (The guy in the white shirt and jeans on the right, over my shoulder is a guy that works in the same building. Thought it was funny.)

The SCERA Shell is a great little place during the summer and we are a little bummed this is our last summer here and we will miss it. It is a quaint little place. It is an outdoor theater and is a hill that is in the shape of . . . you guessed it, a shell. It is fun to sit on a blanket and enjoy a play or musical. This picture is right before it started.

We went to my Grandparents to help them with some tech stuff. Katelynn has a blast with my Grandpa. She seems to play best with older men. She loves my Grandpa, and both of our dads.

Not that my Grandpa doesn't have fun with Katelynn.

Katelynn has begun to carry purses around. She is such a girl!

Now I have to shamefully admit that I gave Katelynn my peacock head. I thought this was a great picture of that.

Katelynn has a thing with car seats and loves to play with them, even when they are stored away in the closet.

Katelynn is normally pretty good eating but was having a terrible time eating and keeping the food on her tray. The many spoonfuls of ice cream that we gave Katelynn when we went out to cool off an hour and a half before her dinner may have something to do with her hard time. She was a mess.

Jen tried to supplement the meal with some of the last few baby food jars we have. That worked a little but just added to the mess.

This is after her bath. What a clean baby.
