It's a Boy!

Like Jen wrote yesterday, her water broke and our baby boy was born. Here is Jen before IV's and the epidural were put in. They measured her at a 6+ and 30 minutes later Jen felt pressure so they measured again and she was a 9+. The nurse first said she would come back in 30 minutes and changed her mind while talking with us and said 15 minutes. Then changed before she left and said she was going to set up. Then the doctor came in and they pushed for 10 minutes and our baby boy was born.

Here he is. We have finally decided on a name, Tyler.


He was 6 lbs and .3 oz, or just 6 lbs.

I can definitely see a resemblance to Kate, especially in this picture. He only has hair in the back. It is light brown with a hint of red to it (maybe?).

Kate came at about 6 PM. She got to meet her brother for the first time.

Surprise!!

This morning my water broke!!! This was a great surprise to us as because I was only 37 weeks. Nathan and I got to the hospital around 7. All went very well and baby boy (Mckay or Aaron) was born at 2:51!! He was 6lbs and 18.5 in. He is very cute with a little hair possibly the color Katelynn's was when she was born. Yeah! Unfortunately Nathan forgot the computer at the hospital and has the camera with him at home. We'll show you picts as soon as we can! 

Kate's Ponytail

When Kate was born, she had a good amount of hair on her head. After a few months, she developed a bad case of cradle cap and dry scalp. Her method of scratching her head was pulling her hair. By the time we discovered a method of keeping a healthy scalp for her, she had pulled herself a bald spot. Well it was not a spot, it was all her hair on the sides (where her arms could reach). So she has never had enough hair to do anything with. We did try to do a ponytail during the summer but it didn't last long. It slipped out after 10-15 minutes because her hair was too short. So the other day we tried again and it lasted a lot longer. I love it.
 

I thought this was a cute smile. I was lucky to get it before her smile went into cheese mode.

I tried to get some self shots with Kate but she didn't like it for some reason.


I know it is impossible to tell but this is also a self shot with Kate moving away so fast and the camera following her.


Kate then took the camera and started to take pictures. I couldn't tell if she was trying to do self shots or if she was trying to take pictures of us and held the camera backwards. Here is a small selection of the funniest ones.
