Hike the Y

After Kangaroo Zoo and some lunch, my dad and I went to hike the Y. My dad really had a hard time but I'm sure it had to do with the altitude rather then age or shape. My dad hadn't hiked the Y in 30+ years and I never had and wanted to before I left Utah. From the car it doesn't look too far but here is the view. It was gorgeous.

I took several shots with my cameras stitch assist to create a panoramic view. I haven't stitched the picture together yet though.

Kangaroo Zoo

On one of the days that I was still in Logan, Jen and my mom went to a bounce house place called Kangaroo Zoo in Pleasant Grove. When I was down on Friday we all went again. It was a lot of fun. Kate really had a blast.

Katelynn was braver than I thought she would be at a place like this. She was climbing all by herself with little fear, in fact she insisted doing it herself most of the time.

While we were there the staff was switching out one inflatable for another. The new one was a monster and instantly had a line waiting to get on. We didn't get a picture of the whole thing to show you how large it really was so I found a couple pictures from the companies website.

This one shows how massive it is, it is in the back on the left side. It looks like it is the biggest inflatable they have.

Here is the family going down. Kate went down at least a half dozen more times than we got on camera. And other than with the times other people came down on camera, she pretty much climbed up and came down by herself. She held back the older kids behind her but she was pretty brave I felt.

We really had a lot of fun. Kate could not get enough though. We had to finally leave because Tyler was ready for his nap.

Thanksgiving Point animals

While I was at school, Kate, Jen, and my mom went to Thanksgiving Point and saw the animals.

Probably the most amazing thing is that Katelynn rode a horse by herself. I think she must be on some bravery kick. She wouldn't near a horse less than a year ago and now will ride one. Mind you the first time in my memory of touching a horse was on my mission and I was terrified it was going to bite my hand off. So my child has ridden a horse before I have. Hmmm. Bummer.

Cute Kate was trying to figure out the family relation of all the horses.

While Jen was waiting between rides, she got some really cute pictures of Tyler.

The sign on the fence says not to feed the horses your fingers. Kate kept stepping back and the horse was trying to get Jen here.
